Process

What is Compaction Grouting?

The process involves drilling a pilot hole to a required depth. A casing is placed in the pilot hole and connected to a grout pump. Depending on the application, low, medium, or high mobility grout is then injected into the hole at intervals and pressures as directed by the Geotechnical engineer. The injection process displaces loose soils and fills voids with solid grout, leading to improved soil density and stability for any structure above.

Compaction grouting is an economical option compared to other approaches and can be accomplished where access is complex and space is limited.

Applications

Compaction Grouting

Involves the injection of low-mobility grout that is designed to stay in a homogeneous mass, thereby displacing and compacting the existing soil mass.

Penetration/Cap Grouting

Penetration cap grouting combines soil stabilization with sealing and reinforcing structural elements, offering a comprehensive solution to enhance foundation stability and protect against water ingress and corrosion.

Hand Drive Grouting

Hand-driven equipment offers enhanced maneuverability and precision in accessing tight spaces where larger machinery cannot operate efficiently.

Post Tension Grouting

Post-tension grouting reinforces the connections between pre-cast sections, effectively creating a unified and robust culvert structure capable of withstanding the demands of heavy loads and environmental factors.

Sinkhole Restoration

Sinkholes are capped and sealed at limestone surface, fills voids and pushes weak soil by compacting and strengthening it. LCT provides both commercial and residential sinkhole services.
